• Use your real identity—authenticity builds trust

What We Prohibit

The following behaviors are not tolerated on LonelyChat and may result in account suspension or termination:

Harassment & Abuse

• Bullying, threatening, or intimidating other users
• Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality
• Targeted harassment or stalking
• Encouraging self-harm or violence

Inappropriate Content

• Sexually inappropriate messages, images, or videos
• Graphic violence or disturbing content
• Nudity or sexually suggestive material
• Content that promotes illegal activities

Impersonation & Deception

• Pretending to be someone else (real or fictional)
• Using fake photos or misleading profile information
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
• Catfishing or intentionally deceiving others

Commercial & Spam Activities

• Sending unsolicited promotional messages
• Advertising products, services, or other platforms
• Phishing or attempting to obtain personal information
• Running scams or fraudulent schemes
• Using automated bots or scripts

Privacy Violations

• Sharing personal information about others without consent
• Recording or screenshotting conversations without permission
• Attempting to discover or share someone's location, address, or contact details

Enforcement

We take violations seriously. Our moderation team reviews all reports and may take actions including:

• Warning: For minor first-time offenses
• Temporary suspension: Losing access for a specified period
• Permanent ban: For severe or repeated violations
• Legal reporting: In cases involving illegal activity

We strive for fairness and will consider context. However, we reserve the right to take immediate action for serious violations without prior warning.

Reporting Violations

Help us maintain a safe community by reporting inappropriate behavior:

• Use the Report button on any user's profile
• Select the reason for your report and provide details
• Our team reviews reports within hours
• For urgent safety concerns, contact us directly

We do not tolerate retaliation against users who file good-faith reports.

Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended or banned in error, you may appeal by contacting us through our contact form. Please include your username and a clear explanation of why you believe the action was mistaken. We will review and respond within 48 hours.

Updates to Guidelines

These Community Guidelines may be updated periodically to address new challenges or improve clarity. Significant changes will be announced to users. Continued use of LonelyChat after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
